Dunroven Drive
Preserving Dunroven Drive
A quiet neighborhood in Kennebunk's Longview Terrace Development
St. Martha's Church is visible beyond young pines that were planted in 2003 to screen it from the Dunroven Drive neighborhood
This website has been developed to provide Kennebunk residents with information regarding Dunroven Drive, a short street with four homes on a cul-de-sac adjacent to St. Martha's Catholic Church.

In 2003, after a two-year process that began in early 2001, the parking lot at St. Martha's was expanded by 71 spaces as a means of accommodating a growing parish. At the time of the expansion,
the Kennebunk Site Plan Review Board denied a request by St. Martha's Parish to connect this new parking lot through the cul-de-sac on Dunroven Drive and required the church to construct a berm (pictured above) that would serve as a greenspace buffer between the church property and the Dunroven Drive neighborhood.
The public hearing held on December 21st has been continued until Tuesday, January 19th, 2010. At that time, the Zoning Board of Appeals will determine if citizens were unintentionally misled at a hearing held July 2, 2009...thinking that abutters to the St. Martha's Church property would be notifed by mail when the applicant would return to the Site Plan Review Board with additional information. Listen to the recording of the last 2 1/2 minutes of the July 2nd meeting at which the SPRB was talking about how the public would be informed once the applicant (St. Martha's) was ready to present the information requested.
